中市府將新建大甲聯合行政中心 4機關進駐
台中市大甲區人口近8萬，台中市政府規劃新建聯合行政中心，讓區公所、戶政、地政與警分局等機關聯合進駐，就近服務。市長林佳龍今天前往視察時表示，大台中山手線將從大甲接連到后里，山海線鐵路串成環線，未來將帶來大量人潮，市府必須提早因應。建置聯合行政中心不僅是大台中山手線重要一環，也提供海線民眾更好的服務。
林市長視察大甲區公所預定遷建地點「機4」用地，並聽取大甲區公所簡報，包括立法院副院長蔡其昌、市議員吳敏濟、李榮鴻及多位在地里長都到場關心。
民國61年建造的大甲地政事務所及78年取得使用執照的大甲分局等廳舍，空間老舊，不敷使用，透過規劃大甲聯合行政中心，未來除結合區公所、戶政事務所、地政事務所及大甲分局等機關合署辦公，也將搭配緊鄰火車站交通動線加以串連，促進當地住商、觀光以及產業發展。至於舊廳舍未來的利用，舊有大甲辦公廳舍可供日間托老、緊急避難所或里活動中心等方向規劃。
