佛系人類…懶得爬上山！古代「直立人」滅絕原因曝光
國外一項最新研究指出，20萬年前滅絕的古代人種「直立人」（Homo Erectus）因缺乏生產複雜勞動工具的能力，隨環境變遷逐漸失去競爭力，現在推測滅絕原因也跟著曝光。
綜合外媒報導，澳洲和英國的研究團隊近期在美國《公共科學圖書館：綜合》（PLOS One）發表研究報告指出2014年在沙烏地阿拉伯中部達瓦德米市（Duwadami ）Saffaqah遺址中發現最古老人種之一的「直立人」生活痕跡，分析過數千件出土文物後，進一步了解生存在石器時代早期的直立人生活方式並不勤勞，製作工具和收集材料時，都採用「最省力」對策。

提到滅絕原因，研究指出，由於生活環境的土壤湖泊乾涸，逐漸變成沙漠，但直立人不願改變生活方式，在技術上也沒有任何進展，最終導致滅亡。希爾頓表示：「沉積物樣本顯示，他們的周圍環境正在發生變化，但他們仍自己製作的工具做相同的事情，根本沒有任何進展，我想最終環境對他們來說太乾了」，因此推斷，直立人滅絕的重要原因之一可能就是「懶惰」。
